Description

If interested in using an Identity Provider (e.g OKTA, Google) as the form of login, this article entails how you can enable Single-Sign-On with your preferred IDP. Using single sign-on (SSO) with an identity provider enhances security by centralizing authentication, reducing the risk of unauthorized access to your data. Additionally, it streamlines the login experience for your team, eliminating password management hassles and fostering seamless access to our software.

Process to Adopt

If you haven't spoken to a member of the SoftLedger team regarding SSO, your first step is to get in touch with SoftLedger, as SSO must be enabled for your tenant, and there can be subscription cost considerations for this feature depending on your SoftLedger plan.

  1. Admin User (user with admin role access) for your SoftLedger tenant confirms the addition of SSO (once enabled, you may need to log out/in)

  2. Access the portal to enable and run though the SSO setup process. You can access the portal in two ways (see screenshot below):

    1. A SoftLedger User who has access to your SSO IDP can login to SoftLedger, navigate to Admin>Manage SSO and access the portal by the clicking "Open SSO Portal" button

    2. A SoftLedger User can also copy and share the link to the portal to someone who has access to your SSO IDP by the "Copy SSO Portal URL" button at Admin>Manage SSO

Note: Once copied - the link will expire in 5 minutes - but can be copied again if needed
