Wallet for Digital Assets Demo - Step-by-Step Transcript

Step 1

Manage your Wallets in the Crypto Module
This guided demo will navigate through the high level components of the Wallets section of the Crypto Module for handling Digital Assets.

Step 2

Add a new Wallet here, or bulk upload multiple Wallets with Excel. See this article for bulk uploads.

Step 3

Wallets should be created to mirror the way digital assets are held in exchange wallets, cold wallets, or custody providers, as cost basis calculations are performed by asset and by Wallet. Add a new Wallet with:

1. A recognizable name (used for excel bulk uploads of transactions)

2. Under the SoftLedger Location that owns the wallet (Journal Entries will be created in this Location)

3. Default Ledger Accounts used for deposits and withdrawals as the credit side and debit side, respectively, of created Journals in this Wallet when no Ledger Account is otherwise set

Step 4

See the default Ledger Account below in this Crypto Deposit as the Credit Side of the Journal Entry produced in this Bitcoin deposit.

Step 5

Click into any Wallet Name to review the holdings of that Wallet as of the date in the System Date Picker, as well as Edit the configuration of the Wallet. Additionally, click the Transactions at top to see all Transactions within this Wallet.

Step 6
